POLICIES AND PROCEDURES

ENROLLMENT POLICY

A parent-director meeting is required for all first time enrollees prior to official enrollment.

OPEN DOOR POLICY

Parents of children enrolled in Early Enrichment Center may visit the school at anytime without prior permission.  Our doors are always open to parents.  All visitors should stop in the office for a visitor tag before going to the classrooms.

ARRIVAL / DISMISSAL

Children should be accompanied to and picked up from their classrooms by a parent or other authorized adult.  Please be aware of arrival and dismissal times.

HEALTH

Every child must have a medical form on file.  A child with a contagious illness must stay home for 24 hours after the start of medication.  The staff will administer medication, if a medication permission form is signed by a parent.  Prescription medication must be in the original container marked with the child’s name and dosage. Children with a medical condition requiring Epinephrine or an inhaler must have a waiver signed by a parent in their file.

ABSENCES

Please notify us in the morning if your child will be absent.  We cannot permit make-up sessions for missed days of school.

PARKING AND TRAFFIC FLOW

Please adhere to the traffic flow pattern as marked.  Cars should be properly parked with ignitions turned off when you are in school.  We strongly recommend that you hold your child by the hand whenever in the parking lot.

CLOTHING

Each child has a cubicle with his/her name on it.  It benefits the children as well as the staff if each child can handle his/her own clothing with minimum assistance.  All outerwear should be labeled with the child’s name.  An extra set of clothing should be at the school for each child in the event of accidents.

SNACKS

A snack will be provided during the morning and afternoon sessions. Children may bring in a snack to share with the rest of the class if they wish.

BIRTHDAYS

We encourage the children to bring in a special snack on their birthdays to share their celebrations with friends in school.

INCLEMENT WEATHER

Occasionally snow, sleet, etc., make driving hazardous in the morning. In this event, school will be closed and each family will be notified by telephone. We coordinate with the Upper Saddle River Public school closings; however, we reserve the right to use our own discretion regarding the school closings.

PARENT-TEACHER CONFERENCES

Conferences are normally scheduled in early spring. If the need arises at any time of the year for a conference one can be scheduled. Your calls are always welcomed.
